Mounted Hound Exercises | August
Mounted hound exercises are a great opportunity to safely introduce your horse to the hounds and walk through our primary hunt territory.
Please reach out to the hunt secretary if you would like to join us! Riders need to be mounted by 7:45 am.
- August 8th at 8 am
- August 15th at 8 am
- August 22nd at 8 am
- August 29th at 8 am
Opening Cubbing | September 5th
Starting Sept 9th at 8 am. Riders should be mounted by 7:45.
Make sure to get you and your horse prepared for the 2026-27 season by attending one or all of our autumn hunts in September!

Opening Hunt | October 24th
Riders should be mounted by 8 am. Hounds will cast at 9.

Trainer Program
Once approved, local trainers will have the opportunity to bring their clients as guests to experience our beloved sport firsthand!

Fairly Hunted Student Program
Calling all students! Discover the thrill of fox hunting with Shakerag Hounds at a special prorated cost just for students. Learn riding, navigation and hunting techniques from seasoned experts. Join our passionate & welcoming community and immerse yourself in the rich tradition and excitement of the chase.
- Must be a current student in middle, high school or college.
- Seasoned riders or beginners are welcome, we have fields for all skill levels!
