What should I wear?
The Shakerag Hounds go out every Saturday (in formal attire) and Tuesdays (in ratcatcher) with some exceptions during the season. To read more visit our Hunt Attire page.
Who should I contact to participate?
In order to hunt with Shakerag, you'll need to either:
- Become a Shakerag member
- Be a member in good standing with another recognized hunt
- Be an invited guest of the club

What days do you hunt?
The Shakerag Hounds hunt every Saturday (in formal attire) and Tuesday (in ratcatcher) during the hunting season, with occasional breaks. The season begins with Autumn Hunting on Labor Day (September 1, 2025) and officially opens in late October, continuing through mid-March.
Can children ride with Shakerag?
Yes, juniors can ride with the Shakerag Hounds. If they would like to ride with the us please contact the club secretary at 706.599.0059 or huntsecretary@shakeraghounds.com to express interest.
Do I have to ride to become a member?
No, you don't. While most members are active riders, we offer a social membership for those that wish to keep their feet on the ground. Please contact the club secretary at 706.599.0059 or huntsecretary@shakeraghounds.com to express interest in coming to watch or applying to be a social member.
